MK Mahla, Ashok Kumar, Lekha, Anil Vyas and Virendra Singh

The experiment on the bioefficacy of Carbosulfan 25 EC @ 1500, 1250 and 1000 ml/ha along with Emamectin Benzoate 5% SG @ 200 ml/ha, Lambda Cyhlothrin 5% EC @ 300 ml/ha and Fenpropathrin 30% EC @ 340 ml/ha against fruit and shoot borer, Leucinodes orbonalis was conducted at R.C.A., Udaipur during Kharif, 2014-15 and Kharif, 2015-16. Based on the two season results (Kharif 2014-15 and 2015-16), it is concluded that the application of T3 Carbosulfan 25 EC @ 1500 ml/ha found to be the most effective treatment. It was followed by T2 Carbosulfan 25 EC @ 1250 ml/ha in terms of mean reduction in shoot and fruits infestation by Leucinodes orbonalis and also recorded higher marketable yield. No phytotoxicity effects on brinjal crop was observed even at higher doses of carbosulfan 25 EC @ 1500 ml/ha.
