Dr. Subha Ganguly
A pangolin is a mammal of special category which is included under the order Pholidota, also known as scaly anteater or trenggiling. The body of the pangolin remains covered with hard keratinized scales which provide it a distinct and unique characteristic from the others (The Encyclopedia of World Wildlife, 2006). The mammal inhabits the regions of Asia and Africa.
