The present study investigated the effect of enzyme complex at different wheat-based diets on the growth performance of broilers at Poultry Research and Training Centre, Department of Poultry Production, UVAS, Pattoki, Pakistan from May 2014 to February 2015. Seven diets containing different levels of wheat (0, 15, 20, 25%) and wheat supplemented with different levels of enzyme (15, 20, 25%) were fed to 525 birds (n=75/treatment for 5 replicates) for 35 days and growth performance was observed. The enzymatic supplementation significantly increased (P<0.05) feed intake (1118.76±13.47 vs 1026±11.36), FCR (2.21±0.09 vs 2.05±0.02) and intestinal weight (89.66±5.89 vs 70.86±4.09). Moreover, immune organ and body organ weight was also increased (P<0.05). However, enzyme supplementations did not increased body weight (1806.80±24.54 vs 1846.04±6.82) and higher enzyme supplementations increased mortality rate (4.00 vs 1.33). It was concluded that enzymatic supplementation increases growth performance through nutrients availability by breaking fibers which otherwise are not digested.
