The present study was conducted at Department of Entomology, Faculty of Crop Protection, Sindh Agriculture University Tandojam from April to May 2016 to find out the effect of Trichlorfon on genital complex of Dirhinus giffardii under laboratory conditions. Simple measurements of male aedeagus and female ovipositor were taken. Fresh parasitoid pupae of Bactrocera zonata were treated with various concentrations i.e. 0.0012 %, 0.003%, 0.005%, 0.006%, 1.0%, 5.0%. For the confirmation of species of parasitoid, their regional keys were compared. At various concentrations i.e. 0.0012%, 0.003%, 0.005%, 0.006%, 1%, 5%, all the measurements of field and laboratory population were compared in micrometers μm. The results observed that the size of aedeagus was reduced in length/width; 48.04/19.06 μm 86.35/25.65 μm 96.61/37.78 μm 154.09/52.15 μm 171.28/53.83 μm 177.26/55.18 μm, respectively. At various concentrations i.e. 0.0012%, 0.003%, 0.005%, 0.006%, 1%, 5% size of ovipositor was reduced in length/width 252.14/121.24 μm 478.24/182.67 μm 610.38/242.83 μm 711.85/444.68 μm898.03/452.57 μm 1141.62/722.18 μm, respectively. The overall results concluded that with the increasing dose of Trichlorfon, sizes of aedeagus and ovipositor were reduced, therefore, higher the concentration of Trichlorfon higher the reduction in genital complex of male and female D. giffardii.
