Effect of insecticides on natural enemies on cotton

The investigations on “Effect of insecticides on natural enemies of insect pests” was carried out at research farm, Department of Agricultural Entomology, VNMKV, Parbhani during Kharif 2012-2013. The NH-61 cotton variety was used for the study. The differences among all the insecticidal treatments were significant. The overall treatments data revealed that the untreated control and spinosad 45 SC showed highest ladybird beetle population followed by emamectin benzoate 5 SG (1.08/plant). The overall treatments data indicated that the untreated control and Emamectin benzoate 5 SG (0.33/plant) showed highest chrysopa population followed by spinosad 45 SC (0.31/plant), novaluron 10 EC (0.28/plant).
