Efficacy of essential oils against rice insect pest in Pusa, Bihar

A field experiment was conducted at Research farm, RPCAU, Pusa, Samastipur, Bihar in Kharif, 2018 and Kharif, 2019 to test the efficacy of various essential oils against rice insect pest. The pooled mean result indicated that among the essential oils the plot treated with neemazal recorded the lowest population of Nephotettix virescens and Dicladispa armigera with a mean population of 6.77 and 8.05 respectively and lowest incidence of leave damage of 8.90 per cent caused by Cnaphalocrocis medinalis was recorded in the plot treated with camphor oil.
