To investigate community structure of butterflies in eco-parks of Patna
Alok Ranjan and Manish Bhardwaj
With the purpose of gaining a better understanding of the species variety, abundance, and ecological roles that are present in urban green spaces, the purpose of this study is to analyse the community structure of butterflies that are found inside the eco-parks of Patna. Butterflies are important bioindicators because the dynamics of their communities reflect the health of ecosystems as well as the biodiversity of such ecosystems. We evaluate the patterns of butterfly distribution, species richness, and composition in relation to the vegetation and ecological conditions of eco-parks by means of taking systematic samples over different seasons, identifying species, and doing data analysis. Our research will make a contribution to the development of conservation strategies for urban biodiversity. These strategies will highlight the significance of preserving green spaces in order to provide support for pollinators and to preserve ecological balance in places that are quickly urbanising.
