abstract
The Sullied Sailor butterfly, Neptis clinia Moore, 1872 (Lepidoptera: Nymphalidae: Limenitidinae), was recently recorded at Berwala Village in the Khol Hi-Raitan Wildlife Sanctuary, which is located in the Shivalik foothills of Haryana. This is the first time the species has been recorded at an elevation of 318 meters above sea level (ASL) in the state Haryana.
