Lepidoptera, comprising butterflies and moths, are vital indicators of ecological health and biodiversity. This study investigates the diversity and abundance of Lepidopteran species observed within the campus of SSGM College, Kopargaon, in the Ahilyanagar district of Maharashtra. A total of 30 species were recorded, including notable taxa such as Grammodes geometrica, Herpetogramma spp., Melanitis leda, and Pachliopta aristolochiae etc. Observations were carried out over six months using visual encounter surveys and bait traps. The findings reveal considerable Lepidopteran diversity, emphasizing the ecological value of semi-urban green campuses and the need for their conservation.
